I-81 is being slated for a host of improvements, widening the bridge in Weyers Cave, widening the roads near the bridge and adding turning lanes, adding a park and ride at the interstate (across from the Shell), as well as other widening of the interstate North and South of Weyers Cave on I-81. Most are supposed to be happening in the 2023-2025 time range.
